Kitchen Flair Joins Preston Partnership: Supporting Our City’s Future

We’re delighted to announce that Kitchen Flair has become a member of Preston Partnership, a private sector membership body working to help Preston realise its full potential. For a family business with over 30 years of history in Preston, this partnership feels like a natural step in our ongoing commitment to the city we call home.

What is Preston Partnership?

Preston Partnership represents the private sector, working alongside Preston’s anchor institutions, including Preston City Council, Lancashire County Council, and the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan), to shape and implement future regeneration plans and promote the city.

Originally formed in 2018 with Preston City Council and UCLan, the organisation has grown to include over 100 members from all sectors, property and construction firms, manufacturers, business professionals, leisure and retail providers, third sector and voluntary organisations, all passionate about helping Preston thrive.

Through regular events and collaborative initiatives, Preston Partnership enables its members to have their say on key Preston issues whilst meeting fellow professionals committed to making Preston a prosperous city to live, work, visit, and invest in.

Why This Matters to Kitchen Flair

Preston isn’t just where our workshop and showroom are located, it’s where our story began. When Tino Libertini founded Kitchen Flair in the early 1990s, he chose Preston as the place to build a business based on Italian craftsmanship, quality materials, and genuine relationships with clients.

Over three decades later, Kitchen Flair remains a family-run Preston business. Our workshop continues to create bespoke kitchens right here in the city. We employ local people, support local trades, and serve homeowners across Preston and Lancashire. The city’s success and Kitchen Flair’s success are intertwined.

Kristina Libertini, Operations Director at Kitchen Flair, said: “Joining Preston Partnership is about more than networking, it’s about actively contributing to Preston’s future. As a family business that’s been part of this city for over 30 years, we have a genuine stake in seeing Preston thrive. We’re excited to work alongside other businesses and organisations who share that commitment to making Preston the best it can be.”

Preston Partnership’s Impact

The organisation has already delivered significant results for Preston. Preston Partnership led the creation of Preston’s Towns Fund board, which secured £20.9 million in 2021 to kick-start a £200 million regeneration of the city’s cultural Harris Quarter.

The Partnership also played a lead role in Preston’s ambitious City Investment Plan, a 15-year strategy that will shape Preston’s future development. In 2023, fresh investment through the UK’s Shared Prosperity Fund helped grow the partnership’s infrastructure and events programme.

These aren’t abstract achievements, they represent real investment in Preston’s infrastructure, culture, and economic future. For businesses like Kitchen Flair that rely on Preston’s continued prosperity, these initiatives create the environment where local businesses can flourish.

Our Commitment to Preston

Kitchen Flair’s membership in Preston Partnership reflects values we’ve held since day one: investment in quality, commitment to community, and belief in long-term thinking over short-term gains.

Why Preston matters to us:

  • Our workshop is here: Every kitchen we create is manufactured in our Preston facility, employing skilled local craftspeople
  • Our heritage is here: Tino built Kitchen Flair in Preston, and Kristina continues that legacy today
  • Our clients are here: Many of our clients are Preston residents and businesses who trust us with their homes and projects
  • Our future is here: As Preston grows and develops, so does Kitchen Flair

We’re not a national chain with a Preston outpost, we’re a Preston business through and through. That means Preston’s prosperity directly impacts our success, and our success contributes to Preston’s economy.

Looking Forward

As Preston Partnership members, we’re looking forward to engaging with fellow businesses and organisations committed to the city’s future. The regular events and collaborative initiatives offer opportunities to contribute our perspective whilst learning from others invested in Preston’s success.

The regeneration plans for Preston are ambitious and exciting. The £200 million Harris Quarter development, the City Investment Plan’s 15-year vision, and ongoing improvements to Preston’s infrastructure and cultural offering all contribute to making this city an even better place to live, work, and do business.

For Kitchen Flair, being part of these conversations and contributing to Preston’s direction feels both right and important. We’ve benefited from Preston’s support for over 30 years, now we’re committed to actively supporting Preston’s future in return.
